SOL

I am wondering if anyone knows about how SOL's work... If the collection occured in California but I live in Illinois now, which SOL applies? I am wondering whether to wait for a SOL to expire or if I should try a PFD on some old collection accounts...

Thanks in advance! Smiley Happy

Re: SOL

The law gives the creditor the right to use either SOL.  But, the problem with that is you can only be sued in the state you currently reside.  Normally it is the state you live in.
