Sample DV Letter

I came across a couple of sample DV letters on this board. There was some suggestions that not to use formatted letter and instead encouraged members to write their own simple DV letter.

My question to wise board members is this.

Is there must have information that needs to be included in DV letter other than our name and SS#? Especially for those who are living in CA.

Can a simple letter asking to validate the debt in accordance with FDCPA do the trick?

You can be as simple as you want!!!  but you must say that you dispute the debt.

If you are within SOL  make sure that you have money in hand incase they file a lawsuit!

The only info. that a CA must give you is...the OC  name  addy phone #  and the amount due
