Hi all,
I love the support that this community has. In 5 months, I have raised my credit scores from 475 to 595. I am working for 700 by January 2017.
I have a couple of questions with the remaining items on my credit report:
1. I received a Satisfaction of Judgement from the court for a debt I paid in full. I received this about 3 months ago. The Judgement still shows on my CR. What are the proper steps for myself to get this removed? (I live in Michigan). I have heard calling the County Clerk. I have heard possibly calling the plaintiff's attorney. How do I even know who the plaintiff's attorney is. Any help here would be appreciated.
2. Does this Judgement against me weigh the most on my credit report? I went up from 475 to 595 on my CS, however I seem to have plateaued. I really need to continue raising my score. I want to fix this and not look back at my past any longer.
Thank you everyone in advance!

Judgments don't come off automatically after they are paid--they would be listed as "satisfied". When is it due to fall off on it's own??
You would need to contact the creditor that obtained the judgement and ask them to vacate it. I *think* in some states you can file a motion to vacate...but I'm not sure about that.
Thank you. I am curious to see if anyone in Michigan has done this and what their story of success was.
Thanks again all.
The judgment creditor cannot vacate a judgment.
Only the court that issued the judgment can vacate its judgment.
Some states permit their courts to grant relief by vacating a judgment based on its satisfaction, while others do not.
Call the office of the clerk of the judgment court for further information on their policy and procedure.
