Should I start Gardening?

Hello all,

I first want to thank everyone on the forums like always. You guys have really been tremendous help on my rebuilding process. I started on the forums last month and had credit scores in the low 500s. Not even a month later I'm in the mid 500s now see scores on my sig.

You can see my cards in my sig, I have yet to receive my US Bank secured card. Would you recommend gardening for a few months now?

I am currently working on disputing items on my credit report. I have 2 collections, one for 1,500 from Captial One from back in 2009 and another from BrightHouse Networks for about 600 from December 2015 (very recent). And a judgement of 2,000 that I have already paid.

In what direction should I go now?

Thanks everyone!

Re: Should I start Gardening?

Definitely garden and work to get those baddies removed. Email Cap1 EO to get them to erase your old account. Worked for me. When you hit early 600's across the board, try to get Cap1 QS1 and Platinum in one shot.

Re: Should I start Gardening?

Thanks for the info! What is capital one EO? Also would you happen to have a sample letter of what you emailed them?

Re: Should I start Gardening?

OP, Cap One EO is the Executive Office. I will PM you the email address I used for my GW letter. I just emailed it to them this weekend and already received a call back, just today, actually! They are working on researching my request for GW removal of prior lates, on an account now paid in full.  I also had a charge-off with them a few years back that, once the collection agency was paid in full, they deleted immediately before I could even request it.  I have heard many success stories from others on the boards as far as the EO being great to work with!

Started rebuilding 8/2015. Current Fico 8 Scores 9/17: TU FICO: 698 (from 646 3/15/16) | EX FICO: 689 (from 617 3/15/16) | EQ FICO: 670 (from 614 3/15/16).
