Starting at 580.... trying to get up

Starting toay as a new day. My score currently is a 580. I have 7 late payments posted to my credit. Looking for some advice for those who started in the same range and improved their score over 6 months.

I started a lot lower than that. I just paid everything on time kept UTI as low as I could and wrote GW letters to those bad ones. And as they age then your scores will go up. 

What other data points do you have to share? Open current accounts? credit mix? AAoA? Those will give everyone a better snapshot and you can get some great advice on here.
