States Recovery for University of Phoenix ? HELP.............

Contacted UOP in regard to a negative trade line on my CR.  They said they no longer have the account that they had sent me to collections without me knowing, negative trade line on my CR has UOP as creditor.  I settled the account with States Recovery before they reported to CB all is well so far.  Not UOP refuses to remove after a GW letter and says they will update to paid.  How can they do this when they no longer had control of the account?  Shouldn't this UOP account have been deleted in the first place sense they sent it to another company to collect?  Any input on this subject will be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to tell you this, but they are right.  Even though it is now paid through the CA does not mean that the OC must delete.  They just have to show a zero balance but can still report it as a negative CO.  You will need to keep doing the GW thing.
