Like FireMedic said, wait.
Quite possibly the worst thing you can do is dispute now.
Waiting is not fun, but that account has been on your CR for a whole lot longer than 45 days.
Waiting additional 3 weeks wont hurt you

Waiting sucks, I'm not a patient person and I get hives whenever someone tells me to wait for anything, but in this case, it's really for the best.

You dont want to dispute the lack of deletion of a collection with the CRAs.

The CRAs have a formal and clearly published policy instructing debt collectors NOT to delete based on consumer payment of the debt.

The CRAs are in business to sell consumer credit histories, and subjective deletion of prior derogs results in incomplete credit histories.

The CRAs consider such subjective deletions as not being in the business interest of the CRA or of others who want complete credit histories in credit reports they order from the CRA.

While PFD is not prevented under the FCRA, it is not considered a permissible reporting by debt collectors.

The reported collection is not rendered inaccurate based on payment of the debt, so there is no issue of dispute of its accuracy.

Asking a CRA to investigate and remove a collection based on your payment of the debt is asking them to delete for a reason directly contrary to their own official reporting policy.

Be patient and wait for the debt collector to report deletion to the CRA.

Dont dispute on that basis.

If an unreasonable time passes and the debt collector does not delete, your remedy is to then pursue required deletion via civil action, as their promise to delete is a contract term, and lack of deletion then becomes a breach of contract issue.

Thanks to everyone for keeping me in check on this one. The CA is gone this morning from EX, just past the 30 day mark. I'm sure TU will follow when I'm able to check.

+21, thanks again everyone!
