Success with inaccurate reporting!

My experian report is currently sitting around 604 ish. I recently had a collection deleted through online dispute with enhanced recovery. I also had a medical bill showing the same exact amount reported twice by the same collection agency. I did some research and come to find out bill being reported twice is an error and the initial bill should have been paid by my insurance company at the time. The hospital admitted to the error and will be writing off the charge because its past the timely filing deadline (2009 date of service). They will be contacting the collection agency to pull back both items from my report. I am so happy!! I'm hoping to see a NICE jump in score bump after that's deleted! I am PUMP! Lol

Re: Success with inaccurate reporting!

Thanks all! The reason I'm so happy is because experian kept verifying the info as accurate every time I disputed it online. Thanks to the boards though I realize online disputing is not the way to go and this is a great example of why!

So did you end up writing a letter to EX?  Did you handwrite it?

BTW, does anyone know if the scanners can read a handwritten FONT?  I have some that look just like handwriting and if the computer can't scan them, that would be perfect!

Re: Success with inaccurate reporting!

No I learned about the handwriting thing after I did the online disputing. By that time experian had already verified the inaccurate info (probably automatedly) so I didn't bother trying to write them a handwritten letter. If the info isn't deleted timely I will follow up with a written letter.
