Hi all. In another post I told ya about several TU CO TLs that were now within the 6 month period and how one had already been removed via EE yAy! Butttt ... for the last two instead of selecting "Too old to be on report" I selected "Other" (for some weird reason) and in the notes indicated it was NOT a dispute etc etc etc. Welp ... after three weeks of waiting the results came back in as "Verified as Accurate" UGH! They handled it like a dispute and even updated 3 years of ND (no data) with lovely "CO" which I'm sure made FICO salivate with fresh meat.
In my frustration I zipped right back on, pulled my 3 from annualcreditreports, verified the DoFDs and popped back over. This time I disputed only one and ensured I selected the magic "Too old to be on report" option. Hit submit. And wouldn't ya know ... within 15 seconds it was resolved AND deleted. I need to wait another 24 hours before the system will allow me to submit another dispute but at this point for the next 2 days I'm going to do the same with the others. I was tempted to do multiples but ... I just don't trust it lol
So from what I've found in this particular experience and prior is if you are requesting a TU EE ensure you select the "Too old to be on report" option. This seems to place it through some sort of presto-bango-computer automation rather than sending it to a live human being who will simply pass it through as an actual dispute rather than reading the notes, etc.
Results below ... the cool thing is this CO was, I think, being factored into my total CL and usage. Hopefully I'll see a marked change when this is all finally completed within the next few weeks.CO Deleted
[EDIT to add] ... CK just notified me: my FAKO went up 23 points lol
Thanks for the DP's. Lesson learned.
I have used .. personally seen, the other button used 5 times to get instant EE from TU .. use what works you

oh wow. That's the first I've heard of the "other" working like that. Was the TL right at 6 months or was it a bit further along? Wondering as one person mentioned that if something is well within the 6 month period and a dispute is issued TU will just delete rather than going through the process. Good to know.
Got another TL deleted again today using "too old". 5 seconds and *bam* gone. This particular CO was reporting regularly every month too. Kinda thrilled everything is finally beginning to clear up.

Relative Had a scheduled TU removal day of a CO... 7-23 .. On 1-1-23 he got the TU EE ... in 10 seconds.. Try by Saying the credit item is an old .. item asking to have it removed

So right at the 6 month mark. Nice. I think the verbiage I used the several times I tried with "other" was something along the same lines: tradeline is too old to be on my report etc etc and ended with This is not a dispute of accuracy. YMMV I guess. I'm wondering if what I was told is accurate: if a TL is within that 6 month mark they will usually just delete straight away (maybe) rather than going through the whole validation process. Who knows *shrug* It's about as mysterious as the actual FICO formulas lol
Oh darn, just submitted a EE yesterday and clicked the other button. Hope i didnt shoot myself in the foot
