Hi weveryone,
I really don't post much, but I read and research this board frequently.
As of today I have paid off my last two collections:
Midland ($1003, settled at $620 PFD)
Ad Astra Recovery ($3870, settled at $2252.22 PFD)
I was ecstatic to get a good discount on both for paying in a lump sum and will be anxiously awaiting my hopeful score bumps. At last check
TU: 625
EQ: 606
EX: 665
Thank you to everyone who has been so transparent and open so we can all learn to navigate the rebuilding world. I'm working towards 700 now!
Congrats!! I hope to be there at the beginning of next year, maybe sooner! Please post what your scores do once they fully report!
Congrats I know its a wonderful feeling.
Well done!! I also recently paid my last med CA, should be removed by early May. It's a really great feeling to be improving. Congratulations to you on your improvement and continued success!!
Congratulations!
i have a question on ad Astra because I'm about to take care of my collection with them. you said you settled and they are going to delete? Did they promise you this? How old was your account if you don't mind me asking? I didn't realize that I could settle and still get them to delete the account!!!
Yes, this account was 4.5 years old, I had to be persistent and had the money up front. I had to call a couple times before I received someone willing to work with me. They delete all satisfied accounts, shoot me a PM and I can send you a rundown of how I negotiated. How old and how much is the account you're looking at?

Can I also PM you?
I also have an older CA with AD Astra and I am looking forward to dealing with them. It would be great if I could do a PFD via settlement!
