I am actually posting to gain some feedback on how to improve my credit file, if anything at all besides just giving it time. I have been trying to get an AMEX charge unsuccessfully for a long time. Now moving on and looking towards other higher tier cards if there are any recommendations based on my profile that I will likely be approved for.
Current Items:
AMEX ED - $1k - 10% UTIL
CAP1 QS - $1.5K - 0% UTIL
DISCOVER IT - $5K - 18% UTIL
CITI DC - $2K - 8% UTIL
VCU - $10K - 31% UTIL (was 80% in November at denial for AMEX GOLD)
TD BANK - $1.5K - 0% UTIL
AUTO LOAN - $30.5K/$42K
All have 100% perfect payment history
No collection or public records
FICO
EQ - 741 TU - 749 EX - 736
AAoA - 1 Year
Oldest Account - 2 Years 1 Month
You could likely get some points by getting all your cards under 8.9% utilization and taking all of them but two to 0. Other than that yes you probably just need time and let everything age.

Just the obvious: drop your util to <8.9% on every card and only allow 50% or less of your revolvers report a balance (3 in this case)
Try to get SP CLIs when you can so that you have higher limits/lower util as well.
And age, of course.
The lower the utl on each cc the better.Try azeo method before your next app.One last thing it looks like you have just in credit cards, you have opened 6 cc's in about two years. You could be denied for an cc because:
#1.Having too many recent opened accts.
#2.Having too many recent inquires.
#3.You have a short revolving history.
GOOD LUCK
