Trans Union Collection over 7 years old..

Tried to file an investigation with trans union showing medical collection that is over 7 years old.. collection shows up as derogatory reasons on my fico but I don't see it in the credit report trans union gives you to check for investigation. They don't show any collections in their dispute form. This is the only collection and it doesn't appear on other reporting agencies.

You appear to be in the gray area for exclusion of the collection.

Any collection must become excluded no later than 7 years plus 180 days from the reported DOFD.

However, the CRAs rountinely begin exclusions at around 7 years.  Thus, actual exclusion can vary.

What is the basis for your intended dispute?
