Transunion EE for collections worked +14 FICO 8, +98 FICO 4, +49 10T

Sharing Transunion EE success but more importantly some data points that may possibly help someone. Any questions welcome as I recognize the struggle so many of us go through. I work 12hrs/day so may not respond quickly yet I will answer best I can ASAP. This community (although I don't usually post, just read and read seemingly endlessly, as helped me in every FICO and finance way imaginable, so thanks to all who have shared & continue to do so.

Today I finally got brave enough to try EE on TU and not only did it work immediately, it helped my Mortgage fico 4 by a shocking to me amount of points, 98!

I started with, 4 collections, all due to fall off 2/2025, and 7 charge offs with 5 that were due to fall off within 6 months. I've not made a late payment on anything in 6 yrs according to 2 CRA and 5yrs 11 months on one CRA. I've been absolutely focused on no late payments not even by 1 day since my catastrophe of 2018. There are still 2 charge offs reporting on Transunion, not due to fall off until 7/2025 and 9/2025, which I did not dispute as too old yet.

I'm not clever enough at posting photos and don't know how to do a screenshot, but here's the dates and some scores from MyFico.

Fico 4 Mortgage:

11/30/2024 = 696

10/3/2024 = 598

and here's the one for 10T:

11/30/2024 = 651

10/3/2024 = 602

and here's Fico 8:

11/30/2024 = 675

10/3/2024: 658

The collections were totalling really close to $2,000. One of the deleted charge offs was reporting 195% credit usage and still updating monthly to the bitter end. The other charge offs showed the right $0 balance.

Anyway, thanks to all, and questions I will try to answer if any. Much thanks.

Working towards decent Fico 5,4,2 scores and reducing DTI.
Goals: Mortgage in Summer 2025. No CC or unsecured loans by Winter 2025.

Congrats, boxmover!

Sounds like our timing is about the same. I also got 3 trade lines (1 charge-off, 1 AU, 1 collection) EE removed on TU last week. I still have a string of lates from 2018 that won't drop off until May (payment plan, acct closed but still paying on it). Otherwise my TU report is clean. I won't see my TU FICO scores for another 10-12 days, so I don't know the effect, but my VS shot up 140 points. Experian and Equifax should catch up in 2 and 3 months.

It's been a long 7 years, hasn't it, and doesn't it feel great?

Congrats to you Pbtxlady!

It does feel great to be on the edge of clean. 140 points even on VS is amazing. It will be interesting to see what your FICO scores do, too.

It seems like it's going to be a great credit summer for both of us Smiley Happy oh so close!

TU flat out refused to do EE on my string of lates, the oldest lates had already fallen off. I follow the guidance I learned from this forum. Nothing helped. Every month I get a FICO alert saying "A delinquency / past due account was removed from your credit report".

No accounts are ever removed, just one late payment. The system repeats every month.

Most if not all TU EE success stories I've seen involve a CO, collection or BK, not late payments.  Late payments age off one at a time, month by month.

On the bright side, in my experience, they each age off about 2 months early.  For example, January ages off in November, February in December, etc.  YMMV of course.

Every thread I've seen of someone trying to speed up the process with EE requests ends in frustration.  Not saying it's impossible, just I haven't seen it.
