Who did you call? The credit bureau? If so, did you ask about when the account was due to be removed from your reports? Did you ever pull your reports from annualcreditreport.com or request a paper copy be mailed to you, as previously suggested?
A personal loan would be subject to the 7.5 year reporting statute and should have been automatically removed no more than 7 years and 180 days from the DOFD. Even if the account has been sold - that does not change the DOFD/scheduled exclusion date.
Hello and thank you
as far as coming off automatic is what i thought no matter if it was sold the original delinquency is the datecand thats that...Unless they Re-aged the date ...i cant see the last payment was in 1999 and the company waited 17 to years in 2016 to say it just went into delinquency ..
and i tried to get my credit reports from annual credit but my info and what they have on file for 2 of the bureaus dont match .i was able to call experian and they said loan....and i asked when when was original delinquency date they sept 12 2016 (my records say thats the day account closed)so is it usual that an account get closed on the first date of delinquency???????

No... accounts will typically go through the process from delinquency (30 day, 60 day, 90 day) to charge-off status before it's actually closed. Rarely is an account shut down after 30 days. Seems your best bet may be filing a CFPB complaint against Experian and Transunion. A CFPB complaint makes it more likely that someone at EX and TU actually takes the time to look into the issue. Get whatever documentation you have about this account -- especially anything noting the date of closure - and prepare copies of your credit reports (the standard online versions you have will have to do) so you can upload them along with the complaint online - you only need to provide the section of the reports that cover this account information. Take the time to write out your complaint and provide as much detailed information as possible. Make sure what you've written clearly states the issue(s) so there is no misunderstanding on the part of the bureaus. CFPB complaints promise a response within 14 days -- this initial response may be a request for more time or information - it may not be a final decision.

Do you have any info on the company to which the account was sold? If so, have you tried reaching out to them?

I've had great success going through the CFPB for credit issues and wishing the same for you! Looking forward to your updates...
