Why does my fico score different from here vs what a creditor gets?

So I recently signed up for myfico and it gave me my score as a 648 from equifax. Then Paypal Bill me later reported I had a 523 from equifax. Odd to me. Has anyone else had this sort of an issue?

What were the score ranges?  Even though it was pulled from EQ, doesn't mean it's a FICO from EQ.  They probably have an inhouse score, or maybe even use your FICO and then merge it with their own scoring system.

Starting Score: 504
July 2013 score:
EQ FICO 819, TU08 778, EX "806 lender pull 07/26/2013
Goal Score: All Scores 760+, Newest goal 800+

Current scores after adding $81K in CLs and 2 new cars since July 2013
EQ:809 TU 777 EX 790 Now it's just garden time!

June 2017 update: All scores over 820, just pure gardening now.

Actually, not so different in the scores.

GE backs their cards, along with many other cards.  They have a different scale range than FICO does.

Starting Score: 504
July 2013 score:
EQ FICO 819, TU08 778, EX "806 lender pull 07/26/2013

Well in the letter stating why I was not approved it stated that I had an Equifax FICO of 523 and myfico had me at 648 at that current time. It has since dropped to 612 in the last week with a new collection and that inquirey added to it. FML

Re: Why does my fico score different from here vs what a creditor gets?

I had the same thing happen with me and my GE backed Walmart card.  They had me in the 500s and FICO had me in the 700s.  When I contacted them, they said they used my FICO score alongiside their own system and had a custom score.

Whether that's true or not, I have no idea.  But their range was different, it only went to 660 or so and FICO goes to 850
