Why?!?

I have a CC account reporting as paid or paying as agreed! I paid it about 4 years ago for a less amount then the original. The account itself is helping my credit history age so I don't want the TL removed. However, its still saying 60 days past due. How do I get that removed? Do I simply send a GW letter to get the late removed? Thanks Smiley Happy

Re: Why?!?

How old is that 60 day late??  It's going to be tough getting a late posting removed when you hadn't PIF.  Not impossible, but much more difficult.

What's the bal. that you left unpaid??

Re: Why?!?

The balance was at $461.00 and I paid only the $250.00 in a settlement with the CC company. If you look below you can see what lates are being reported. Is there any chance you think I could GW these lates?!? Thanks so much for your help! Smiley Happy

Re: Why?!?

We have 3 FP lates from back in 2003 - have GWed like crazy, but FP generally doesn't comply.  They just send me statements showing the lates and refusing to remove, and after that didn't respond at all.   Ours are due to fall off next May, June and Sept and then the account will turn positive.  Our card was closed in 2004 for less than the full balance too.

Re: Why?!?

From the looks of how the tradeline is being reported it is not reporting as as a settled account for less than full balance.  I would not do anything with this account. The link to the article below will explain why.

Re: Why?!?

Thanks for all the help! I guess I will just leave the account alone. I am just worried the lates are affecting my score pretty bad. Thanks againSmiley Happy
