balance still showing under original creditor when account charged off!

Hi Everyone

I have several accounts that were charged off almost 6 years ago, equifax and transunion has the balances listed as 0 as they should be, but experian is still reporting all balances under original creditor. How do I get these removed, makes my utilization under experian look like its through the roof. How do I word my dispute with Experian????

And, I forgot to mention that these are now under collection accounts also.

Well you just file a dispute on their site directly. Or you could call in.

But just because they were charged off doesn't mean the balance is automatically reduced to zero. Did you pay the chargeoff eventually? Did it get sold to a collection agency?

Debt was sold to collection agency portfolio

Portfolio Recovery Associates? If so, then yes, just do a dispute that the balance is incorrect. But it won't delete the original CO. PRA will delete their collection upon payment in full/settlement though.
