charge offs deleted

im not really sure what happened but i had 2 paid scana energy charged off bills on my experian and equifax reports,  they were over 5 years old i paid them back in april/may and they changed to 'paid,was a charge off.' and i tried sending them goodwill letters and emails asking if they can be removed completely everyone who contacted me said nothing they can do and they wont remove it so i gave up well today i woke up to it being deleted from my experian report and my score shot up 50 points to 735 now i have to wait a day or two to see if it will be removed from my equifax report too im so happy right now but im wondering how or why it was deleted! lol

But, truth be told, it probably stemmed from your GW’s, it just may have taken some time before it updated...? Glad to hear it’s gone and the awesome point increase!!👍👍

If you live in NY state they come off after 5 years on paid/settle CO accounts.

thanks im located in georgia yea im still wondering why i guess i should stop asking myself why lol i sent so many letters and every letter i got a reply back saying sorry we cant do it has to stay on for 7 years then i emailed 3-4 higher ups in scana energy and got a call back saying the same thing but oh well my equifax generally updates 1-2 days after my experian so i will report back if it gets deleted off my equifax too

It happens alot that you request a goodwill and either you get no response or they say no but they end up deleting anyway.

well i checked creditchecktotal today and it is still deleted off my experian report but still on my equifax but equifax for me updates 1-2 sometimes even 3 days after experian so i may have checked too soon lol will give it a few more days
