If the debts are yours and you created them. You should pay them. It will give you no FICO score increase. But your Vantage score will increase (which means nothing).

Paying them looks more favorable to future creditors that may manually review your files.

They can continue to be on your reports for 7 years from DOFD.

Yes, it would be considered delinquent being 30 days late.

Yea, if they are yours, pay it off. Not always a guarantee but I was able successfully dispute them (had 9 collections between 2011-2013) for removal in 2015 from all CRAs after requesting a letter of removal from the collection agaencies. Thankfully, they were agreeable.  But from what I read on here, some will not. Good luck.

The typical first step is to make the debt collector a pay for deletion (PFD) offer, which includes an offer to pay that is contingent upon their agreement to delete their reported collection.  If they accept, that removes the collection from scoring, and discharges the debt.
