I've been dealing with Sallie Mae to get some lates removed from my current student loans. They didn't budge on the first round. Im waiting for my second letter to get a response asking them to not report the few months I was late. THey did state in my first conversation with them that it is illegal to remove true information. I then wrote a 2nd letter asking them to not report those months.
