Ok so here is my story. I had a HSBC/Nautilus card that was charged off. It was opened in 4/2008 and closed in 4/2009. I received letters from the CA (NCO FINANCIAL SYSTEMS) and it was also being reported by them on my CR. After I settled for less than the full balance with NCO, I decided to dispute the item with all 3 Credit bureaus and the account was deleted but HSBC is still reporting the original account. I have tried disputing the account with the Credit bureaus and also i have tried Goodwill letters and both times they (HSBC) have replied that they sold the account to Oliphant.
How can this be if I already settled with a CA? I have never received any communications from Oliphant. Do you think I shhould contact them? What should i do?
