investigation results..OC PIF but CA reporting bal due...

I just received my results for the investigation from EQ. The results for one of the accounts has been updated that the account has been paid in full. BUT I have a collection agency on my report, reporting I owe the debt for the OC. What should I do now? Dispute w/ EQ that per their investigations, the OC was paid in full and to remove the CA?

The OC and 1 CA can report at the same time...did you PIF the OC???...or was the balance transferred to the CA...from the OC???...the OC TL should say if it was transferred/sold...if EQ investigated the OC TL...and result came back with a $0 balance....that's right...because the OC MUST show a $0 balance...if the account was transferred/sold...to the CA...now you must DV...and PFD the CA...

I would send the CA a DV letter first.

Then depending on the results of that, determine how to continue.
