simple - they trying to keep this debt alive as much as they can - they prob baught it in 2007 and using that date

True but it doesn't mean they know what they are doing.  It means they think you don't.

You could try.

I would PM poster DaBears.  He is the king of the court when it comes to law suits against CAs.  Ask him questions.  Very nice guy and will be more than glad to answer any questions about a suit.  What you need to do first etc.
