settled all my cards way to get new cards

I settled all my cards

Chase

Discover

Capital one

Barclays

All are paid off except my discover where I have a 36 monthly payments

And already am 10 months in

Is there a way to get approved for any cards?

Currently I don't have any cards open

I think the community is going to ask you for more information.   If you can provide your current credit scores... how much more you have to pay off.... any loans etc.  And what kind of cards are you desiring.... ie travel,  cash back or just rebuild.  Also if you made all those creditors again brcause will not let you back ... others will but after a certain amount of time depends on amount you had with them and if you negotiated or paid on full.

Provide more information and the forum can give you their data points and experiences.

You can get several secured cards to start. You will need to show a track record on them for awhile before you will get approved for unsecured. Welcome to myFico!

Secured cards would be your option.

Go with

-Capital One

-U.S. Bank

-Discover is an option but they will probably deny you.

Basically, sign up for secured cards that have no annual fees. Don't sign up for Citi Secured because they do not graduate it. Mine has been 6 years but still secured.

How much do you need to put down on a secured card

Secured cards usually start at $200. Discover is $300 I think

No Discover is $200 minimum too. But if he has a 36 monthly payment arrangement with them and is 10 months in, they aren't gonna approve him for any of their cards right now, including a Secured Card.

I have 3 charge offs with CapOne and recently applied and was approved for a quicksilver with $300 limit.

How long ago were these charge offs reported and paid off?

Go with banks or credit unions that you have not burned. Those that you have settled with will take time to let you back in if they do at all. Some secured options are-

Navy Federal (if you qualify)

US Bank

Bank of America

I have a Cred.AI account that is like a debit card but reports 1500 credit limit each month that helped my score increase.
