had a call from a ca regarding a pfd on small balance ($23)remaining
She said that they sent in back to OC in may 07 (??)(I think...she was talking fast)
She said that she had contacted the bureau about that so it should have been deleted. Then she rushed to tell me that they were going to sue me and garnish my wages this year (whoopee!) for another medical that was $3700/balance $3600 from 2002.
I agreed to make a $300 payment tomorrow at her office (about an hour away), I had made one or two in '04 but stopped. She said that she would work with me, the papers have gone to the attorney, but that if i continued to pay she would work it out to avoid judgment. I was freaking and kinda emotional/bad, I know, but I have two paid judgments and just had one drop off and I am really trying to get my act together. She also said that she would not delete, but that my core would be improved with the debt reduction etc.
I did a little research here and I know I shouldn't be talking with the CA, but I do NOT want another judgment. I just called the OC (hospital) and talked to a billing associate. I asked about making payments there...she was kinda clueless when I asked about who owned the debt etc. and suspicious when I asked for her name and the billing supervisor names. She told me to work out a payment arrangement with the CA and I could make them locally. I asked about getting it deleted then, and she said she wasn't sure if it could be done and I should contact the CRA when done for deletion(why I asked for her super's name).
I am not sure about this HIPPA stuff, I have a judgment from a medical (paid) from the same time period so I do want to act quickly and cooperatively to avoid that but want some leverage for deletion...Any insight?
