don't want to keep sending GWs if these don't matter much. both accounts are positive otherwise. just want to know what is considered "recent" to FICO for reference. thank you!
WFNNB CC
status is open (though it's really not) with 0 balance
two 30-day lates, one in 2008 and one in 2009
BofA CC
closed with 0 balance
one 60-day and three 30-days all in 2008
"Recent" is pretty much defined by who's evaluating our credit.
I wouldn't give up on WFNNB. You do read posts here where people had success.
For FICO scoring purposes, I certainly would not expect a 4-year old 30-late to have any significant scoring impact, individually.
I would speculate that it is more the presence of multiple delinquencies than the individ impacts that would raise questions in a manual review.
I would suspect that, with scores in the low 600's, something else is having a more significant impact.
What other derogs are reporting, and what is current utilization?
From a purely FICO scoring standpoint, "recent" is less than two years old.
i have other baddies so i know these aren't why my scores are low. i just think i could get things done if i focus on the important stuff because it's a little overwhelming!
i have 1% util and no lates for a few years now so i really need to clean up my credit report if i want to get that score up!
What are the other baddies?
