will I wake a sleeping giant???

I have a collection account that I have paid in full.  It is listed on TU as paid in full.  It is listed on EQ that I still owe the money, BUT...it isn't listed as a collection account, just a regular unpaid account.  So which is worse?  If I ask them to update, maybe they will report it as paid, but list it as a collections.  If I don't, then it will continue to report as delinquent.  It is about 2 years old.  Any thoughts?

But this is actually a collection account- a different report lists it as a paid collection.  I paid if off about 5 months ago.  The original creditor was my cable company.  But under "current status" it says, "120+ days overdue"
