IMO- the 30 day late is not going to be the deciding factor in the lending decision.
If you are talking to a CU that you have a relationship with and have the DTI/income to cover the loan payment- your chances are good-
You FICO score will also come into play- recent lates hit hard-
a single 30 day late will soften at 1 year and have little score impact at 2 years.
