EXP sent a copy of my report, which states that the collection was verified in 04/2008 and remains unchanged. 

Have not heard from Equifax yet, although they probably transferred the dispute to CSC which takes forever.

I believe the next step is the alternate letter to the CA, but do I need to wait for a response from Equifax to continue?

Did you do step #1 and #2?     Is this Paid or unpaid.

You need to wait until the dispute is complete. You also need to wait 30 days to see if you receive anything from the CA.

Step 1 & 2 completed, paid collection in 2006. 

Since Experian sent me a copy of report stating that it was verified in April 2008, and will remain unchanged, I continue to wait to see if anything is received from CA?

I don't mean to sound redundant, I just thought that since they sent the unchanged copy it was completed.
