Just noticed this yesterday when I was logging in, but couldn't find any other mention of it around here.
Apparently this is something Navy does each year.
Right now there are a few SUBs for opening accounts for minors. Checking can get $35 bonus when opening an accoung (age 14-24 I think) and a certificate for any age can get up to $25 for a $25 deposit (they match what you add) with a 3 month term.
Not great SUBs, but is something extra if you have children to help them learn a little financial responsibility and have an in with Navy
