Are we talking about an actual "wooden box" or the piece of wood with the AmEX engraving that can be used as a phone stand? Recently, when I was approved for the Ameriprise Platinum, it came in the standard packaging with the engraved piece of wood inside.

Ok, that's what I was thinking. Yes, I got that with my recent Ameriprise approval. The card was approved on 1/25, shipped automatically via UPS (I didn't have to call/request) and delivered on 1/28.
Congratulations on your approval.

I'm going to ask this post be moved to approvals 😂
jk, congrats, tho!
Is there pre-approval for the Ameriprise Platinum or other co-branded AMEX cards?

Featured cards from AmEx partners such as Schwab Ameriprise, etc.,do not have any online pre-approval portals. Clients of any of these brokerage firms may get targeted invitations via snail mail, referrals, email, etc.

yea mine just arrived with this and I was like what the hell is this?
Were you able to make the deadline and get the annual fee waived?
