As others have mentioned, definitely Wachovia and MBNA.

Also, Chemical Bank, FCNBD, First Union, Bank of New York, Mellon Bank, Chevy Chase, Signet Bank.

The good old days before they all got gobbled up!

SeaFirst Bank of Seattle, WA.  They were acquired by BankAmerica, later rebranded as Bank of America in '98.  I opened my first checking account there and received my first bank card there.
