We have an x1 that we've outgrown. Outgrown as if we purchased a larger SUV. In my dreams it's an x7 though!😝😂

You know I've always wanted an X5 but I hear nightmares about the SUV line. X7 is a little to big for my taste but my next one I want to be the X5 for sure only if I can get it New though because I just dont want to pick up someones old headache. How has yours been treating you? But, one thing for sure and two things for certain after having a BMW I can't even want another car Make I've been addicted since my 14 328XI. Thats actually what i got rid of for this.

I traded in my Bimmer for a Tesla but there's a lot to still love about those German machines! 

My buddy just got his wife a 2019 CPO X5 with pretty much all the bells and I just can't imagine having to park an X7 after touring around in its smaller sibling. Those things are MASSIVE as is!

You sound like my wife - she wants the new PHEV X5 (X5 45e) because her current PHEV is expiring (HOV exemption).

We have had many BMWs for the past 22 years.

1st gen X5 (German), 2nd gen X5, 3rd gen X5 - all sold or returned (lease) due to issues with reliability.

Loved the diesel variants: 2011 335d and 2013 X5-35d which drove the best but cost of maintenance was high along with DEF having to re-fill every few months.

I think the BMWs made in South Carolina are not built as solid as the German made BMWs.

Case in point: my current daily driver - 2014 BMW 528i (F10) built in Dingolfing Germany has been a solid reliable sports sedan that has reached the 100,000 mile mark and still going strong with  minimal maintenance.

If I were to get another BMW, I would lease it so that I can turn her back in at the end as it's not worth keeping US made BMWs....

Wow, your making me wish i kept my 14 BMW 328XI SULEV. It was also German made.. My current one I didnt look up the make yet but its a 2020 330i.

@CreditExpressNJ  your 330 is probably either made in Mexico or Germany.

Just keep up with maintenance and you should be good.

I'm a little disappointed with the 328i SULEVs. We still have a '13 that we got as a practical drive-till-the-wheels-come-off commuter car, but I didn't expect the wheels to come off quite as quickly as they appear to be. Most of it's usual stuff that breaks around 70k miles like O2 sensors and cracked rims, but the turbocharger also needed replacing at around 65k miles in and now it spends about 3 weeks a year in the shop for various things here and there to the tune of about $4k/year.

Sweet ride! I bet that car is a very efficient manufacturer of brake dust too. I had an X5 that drove me crazy with brake dust. Traded it in on my Range Rover and feel like I jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire. That thing creates so much brake dust. Drives me up the wall.

Go with full ceramic pads. Hardly any dust.
