Well, yes of course I do K.

But seriously ... masking tape?

I use something a little more tasteful when I do it. Smiley Tongue

People who show off are trying to look rich. People who are rich don’t care.

True 'dat.

Truly rich people don't care what you think.

And some high-end shops actually train their people NOT to prejudge based on appearances.

I disrespect anyone who goes out of their way trying to impress me with their credit card, their clothes, their car or their house.

Used to work somewhere $1k+ purchases were the norm. The only customer that I ever judged was a man who kept telling us how important he was and how much more valuable his time was than ours. He then whipped out a black Luxury Card that proceeded to get declined. I’ve never had to try so hard to keep from laughing.

Lmao ... too funny!!!  Smiley LOL

I've been going to a quiznos for the past at least 5 years..  The owner of the store also works the cash register.  When I paid with my Amex platinum card, ... He asked me what I did for a living.

Actually that's kind of funny and sad at the same time, knowing what I know about credit cards.  There still is a part of the population that has a very twisted idea of what it takes to get some of these cards.

Paint over the Credit One logo on the card with black paint, and believe me, you'll impress!

Re: Being Judged for your CC at high end stores

I've had more comments on my debit card than any credit cards LOL... It has a photo of mountains with a white water river coming down. It's also from a tiny CU that most have never seen outside of the town it has two branches in.

Otherwise, I don't think many have paid much attention besides a Chinese joint in San Mateo getting pissy because I handed them an Amex instead of Visa/MC...

Re: Being Judged for your CC at high end stores

A few years ago I saw a video from his guy who showed you how to change a regular Amex into the black version. All he used was a laser printer and sticky photo quality paper. His thing was most people have never seen a true Amex black and just assume since its a black colored Amex card its the real thing.

I'd be amused except it would be cruel to laugh over

someone's need for psychological counseling.

Or having too much time on their hands.

But probably both.

He probably printed money, too, in his "spare time."  Smiley Tongue

We need a topic for judging people who think which cards they carry/use is a reflection of their social status.
