I ordered the new card. Will probably go back to purple though.
It does sound cool, not that I have a Reserve.
But my wallet allows for 11 physical credit cards, and 5 of those are already Amex (Gold, Bus Plat, Lowes, BBP, SchwabPlat). Since I'm not trying to hit MQD targets, it's not a card I'd carry around.
I love that....but then I'd have to upgrade to the Reserve.....ugh
What a Beauty - I ordered my replacement card soon as it was available. Can't wait for it to get here - sadly its snail mail vs FedEx. I swear they have about 3 of the same card ready for shipment at any given moment. Just a theory.
I'm not even an infrequent flyer, let alone a frequent one, but this is super cool.
I upgraded from the Delta Platinum. I fly Delta most ofen. It gives me access to Delta and Centurion Lounges as well as the companion ticket for a lot less than the Amex Platinum. It's pretty. Lighter than the Platinum.
Are you told which tail number is used for your card? The people I know interested in this will want to know the tail number so they can map it back to which flights they took on that specific plane in the past.

I believe it's all from one plane that is identified in one of the articles I read.

It is from a single 747 that has been retired since 2017. The identifying number is printed on the card, along with the stats of 68 million miles flown, the inaugural date and the final flight date of this specific plane.
