Chase Freedom Unlimited

Hi.

I just converted my Chase Frredom Flex to Freedom Unlimited.

Does this card come with embossed numbers on the front, or is it flat, with the numbers on the back?

Thanks, and have a beautiful day.

Re: Chase Freedom Unlimited

Unless they changed it since I got it in July 2020, it is embossed numbers on the front.

Re: Chase Freedom Unlimited

I'm thinking about doing the opposite with my unlimited.
Yes, the numbers are on the front. What did you find attractive in FU over the flex. Most products offer more than the 1.5% .

Re: Chase Freedom Unlimited

Well, I wanted a VISA card. I already have Citi DC, which is a Mastercard.

Now I will have AMEX, Mastercard, and Visa.

The quarterly categories on Flex have limited attraction for me.

I need to use Chase for some things (i.e., dining and drugstores) to keep it open.

While it is true that 1.5% is less than CITI DC's 2%, FU's 1.5% could be used in case the Citi card does not work somewhere.

In any regard, dining and drugstores work just fine for me at 3% on FU.

Now I have four categories covered: groceries, gas, dining, and drugstores. Plus, 2% on eveerything else.

PS: If citi ever decides to play games with the 2%, I can always use the FU as my daily driver.

I use the CFU over my 2% card as well. Even though it earns lower, if paired with the CSP, I can get more value out of it if using with a transfer partner. I don't mine earning the 0.5% less in order to bank points for more than 2% back in the future.

In addition, I can use "Pay Yourself Back" on my CSP and make those points worth 1.875%, just a hair under 2%.
