Collection of Cards

I was recently reading a post by @Anonymous and I was wondering if collecting cards was something that other MFs do

I can't find any of my keychain DiscoverCards =( The advertisements for this were terrible

I have a good number of discontinued and older cards as well as slightly rarer cards (at some point I should inventory them, my collection is a mess), including stuff like the ING Direct debit card and the adhesive RFID/NFC Citi tag you could attach to a phone. Not much else every special, but still fun for me.

If you collect cards, do you have anything fun?

I have a binder full of pages of business card holders. These business card pages are filled with every credit card I have ever had over the past 25 years.

Nothing too interesting to most people. But it is fun to have cards from banks that no longer exist, different logos etc. 

I see vintage credit cards for sale on Ebay all the time and there are people out there that collect cards. I think for the most part, these collectors of (other people's) cards buy them in estate sales. Maybe mine will end up that way one day.

I cut up the plastic ones and use the old metal ones (at least the ones with inactive card numbers) as small-scale paint scrapers and cleaning tools.

I don't want to mix up the cards for open and closed accounts.

Yup, so sad Sync closed it but i wont destroy  it lol. Just wish i could have gotten my Superman from UMB before that was discontinued as well. I think like 3 people were ever approved for those cards....in the world haha

Yup, so sad Sync closed it but i wont destroy  it lol. Just wish i could have gotten my Superman from UMB before that was discontinued as well. I think like 3 people were ever approved for those cards....in the world haha

I don't care anymore, if I want a card and a bank offers multiples designs for one that I already have, I just replace it almost immediately. I have so many DiscoverCards, sorry they closed it😢

Lol i think have like  9 Discovers active 😅.  @coldfusion  i remember that flavor though i never eent for it. A colorful card indeed. Im still  waiting for someone to get the NBA card again.
