So I went to Credit Krama. It asked me if I wanted to check for pre approvals etc. I entered last 4 of S.S it usually only brings up my Chase big 3 pre approvals. This time it shows Chase and 3 Amex's Blue Cash, EveryDay and Gold.
I I then went to Amex's site tried preQ nothing.
Any-chance this might be for real?
😭 Why does it show my Chase preQ's with the right apr'e etc. Same from Chase's website?
Hope springs eternal.
It's ok. Been there done that too.
I agree the CK credit card offers are junk. But the OP's screen shot has a single interest rate listed. I think it is a good pre-qual offer.
For reference, CK is not pre-approving me for any CC's. I wouldn't qualify for another CC from Amex or Chase, though.
Understandable. I politely disagree. I do wish there were more data points to prove that their pre quals were legit. Here is a screen shot from mine, prior to posting. My CCT this morning is EX 665. I know. Waiting for UTL to clear from 2% back to 1%. New Chase from 1/19/16 finally posted, and it killed my score by 4 more points. But yes, I agree that seeing a fixed APR posted could lead one to believe it's a valid prequal, but I'm a bit more skeptic. I'm Sorry CD. Not to be offensive!
Edit: trying to not have the hugest pic ever.
It is hard for me to believe CK has good pre-qual offers, too. Especially, since CK is probably SP'g TU for the Amex pre-qual.
My last Amex FICO EX-08 score was 803 (30 point drop from last month, I don't micromanage balances reporting). My TU-08 score is a little lower (800). However, Amex doesn't show any pre-quals on their site (I have multiple Amex cards). Nor does Chase (20 something new accounts in the last 2 years, including Chase Freedom). If CK was just looking at the score, they should give me pre-qual offers for both Amex and Chase. As a matter of fact, cardmatch actually shows me the Chase Freedom, Slate and CSP (plus a few other cards from other CCC's).
I do agree your scores are a little lower than Amex normally likes. But there are reports from people getting approved with lower scores. I think it needs further testing before we can say one way or the other.
I might try tonight. If I get it or don't I'll report back.
Know one's pulled my EX for 18 Months... so if I don't get it no big deal...
Kudos +1 Totally Concur.
I the rebuilder with a lower score should have less to no prequals vs the higher score with established accounts! (before anyone gives a detailed reasoning report on what matters inside the reports...we know, just a blanket theorectical statement)
Typed kudos Bc this is smorgasboard
You apping with me?
