I have been trying but keep getting the error. I am using Imgur and there is no Direct HTML, there is just "direct link" and it will not work.

That's a great thread, and I'm a big believer in stealing other's code.  In Google Chrome you can highlight another's signature and then right click and use "inspect" to look at how they did it:

I then keep all of my signature code in a text file and edit it that way:

You may not have enough posts to post HTML into your signature yet.  As you can see from my code I'm using direct links from Imgur.

The other thread explains that you have to be at the rank of 'Member' or higher to have HTML privileges.

(An easy way to tell is the "New" star that is next to your name will be gone.)
