I honestly thought you're in the late 20s.
i'm 43 soon to be 44 end of next month. Applied for my first card when i was 18. Remember how long it took to get an approval in the 1980's?
I'm 32. I got a bunch of sub-prime cards when I was 18, and wrecked my credit doing cash-advances because I was addicted to drugs. Got over that and got a decent job and got some prime cards in my early 20s. Lost my job when I was 27 and wrecked my credit again. Then I enslisted in the Army where I work a technical job while taking college courses and making a decent amount of money (80k). The Army has foced me to fix my credit. I am doing quite well after 5 years in this profession and am enjoying life and my continued improvement. I enjoy serving my country. I would recommend such a military job for anyone with credit problems (unless you are overweight).
25, First CC at 18. Someone stole that before I even received it and had to close and reopen. Interesting how they only charged $2.95 cents to PayPal.
Thankfully I caught that before my credit took a dive before it was even made. Now, I have too many cards to think about.

I'm 23, and I got my first CC when I was 18. (It is my WF CC. )
I'm 62 next month. Got my first credit card (charge card, actually!) in 1972. Carte Blanche Card. I was gonna travel and see the world and thought it was a really cool card for that purpose. Never did any travel though, in that time period. Got my first AMEX in '76...a Green card.
I am 39 and I got my first credit card at 19, at college when they would set up tables trying to get as many students to sign up as possible. I had at least 10 cards but didn't know much about credit so I screwed it up. Fast forward to 2005 and filing bankruptcy, then to now where I have credit scores close to 700. It's been a long journey but I'm happy with how I've recovered.
I'm 21 now. Got my first card at 18, the BB&T card. It was a joint account my mom co-signed with me for to get my credit established. Now it is only mine and I've picked a few credit cards along the way! Glad I had a mom that trusted in me and cared about my credit! A lot of my friends have no credit and have no clue what it is or how it works!
Currently 23. Got my first card when I was 17. Was a Chase +1. Didn't really use it all that much, but my parents paid for it while I was at college. Definitely helped me build my credit score. Also established a good relationship with Chase.
