Re: If you could only have three rewards cards...

In the few weeks i've been here, i've learned about so many cards that I never knew existed.

Here's my three:

1. Aerospace FCU Cash Back - 5% Gas, 4% Dining & Entertainment, 3% Travel, 2% Grocery, 2% Everything Else. No AF, no FTF.

2. AOD Visa Signature - 3% All-Around. No AF, no FTF.

3. US Bank Cash+ - 5% on two chosen categories up to $2k, then 2%. No AF.

I'm biased about Aerospace as I just found out i'm eligible for their really strict membership criteria and jumped on it just the other week. AOD rocks this forum hard from what i've seen and as pretty as it is, I can't see myself applying for it. I just think it'll get nerfed. USAlliance is nerfing their 3x card soon so, I suspect AOD MIGHT follow in their footsteps, who knows. I'm interested in the Cash+ and I believe I will be 1/12 by June so I might go for it? We shall see!

Thats a tough one, it would be very hard to get down to just 3.

Gold: food, travel, grocery, amazon gc, shell gc, exxon gc, delta gc, aa gc, amex offers

Freedom flex: 5% categories, travel

Fidelity: 2% baseline, network access

AOD Visa Sig. Really one of the best general spend cards out there. Some think it'll be nerfed. Well, who knows? I'm enjoying it while it lasts and hoping they grandfather us existing cardholders if they do cut it back.

Chase Freedom Visa. I haven't changed mine to MC, and why would I? This one is Costco friendly and I already have 3% covered by the AOD.

AMEX BCP. 6% grocery & streaming go a long way for me feeding a bunch of teenagers. I generally save about 2.5X the AF. This one is a no brainer for me.

Definitely my AOD, then probably my Freedom original version and Amex BCP.

Most definite!! 😊

AOD goes without saying, and I redeemed $150 in offers on BCP. That wasn't including groceries or subscriptions, so no-brainer too. 😂

Oh boy, here we go againSmiley Wink

AOd, AoD, aOD Smiley Happy

With no money to spend i dont need to chase categories  so a 2% cb is all i really need so having a PCR and PPMC cover most needs. Anything Navy completes trifecta just because their limit and apr can provide a whole swath of uses, ie enough uti  coverage, low apr for carrying balances, low CA with no negative connotations,  and  enough rewards to  make up the half percentage of a 2 % card when using shopping portal.

For me, it would be Freedom Flex, Discover IT and Amex Hilton Honors. I stay at a Hilton hotel at least one or two weekends a year, so that card would be useful for me.

Re: If you could only have three rewards cards...

MRs still work for me, so BBP > AOD.

Add to that Schwab Platinum.

And then Costco, BofA PR, or whatever V/MC has a nice SUB.

Personal spend: Amex Gold, Amex Schwab Plat., BofA PR+CCR(x2), Costco
Business use: Amex Bus. Plat., BBP, Lowes Amex AU, CFU AU
Perks: Delta Plat., United Explorer, IHG49, Hyatt, "Old SPG"
Mostly SD: Freedom Flex, Freedom, Arrival
Upgrade/Downgrade games: ED, BCE
SUB chasing: AA Platinum Select
