This is about a new rideshare practice at Los Angeles International Airport.
I've personally used the new LAX-it rideshare pickup lot smoothly (when I was both ride requester and a rider). I've booked Ubers for other people before (when I'm at point A, I've arranged for others to go from B to C).
But I haven't booked an Uber for another person when the pickup was at the LAX-it lot. Has anyone done this? Is there a special pickup address to use?
I tried a few options and didn't see any sort of prompt that Uber was going to recognize the pickup area as a special place and give me the 6-digit PIN required. It wanted to default to a regular-style pickup.
Any guidance would be helpful but it's not urgent. A backup option would be to book an Uber Black for a curbside pickup at arrivals (the old location that is no longer allowed for cheaper Uber fares).
