Vegas has closed a lot. The Strip is a ghost town.
This is not good. I have "over reacted" as anyone. I just don't recall this reaction to SARs or Swineflu. Perhaps we are just better informed today.
Not blaming anyone, as I myself have shut it all down. I just think we may be causing more harm than the virus. Still, I a'int chancing it.

This is why: Comparing COVID-19, SARS and MERS by the numbers
8,096 cases of SARS in almost 8 months, with COVID-19 surpassing that number in 53 days, and now over 12x that number. MERS was far lower.

Notably, at least in MA, restaurants still provide takeout and delivery. The ban is just for on-premises meal consumption. It's not a total shutdown.
Of course, some places may lose a huge share of business if they rely on extremely perishable food or if state/local laws prevent takeout/delivery of alcohol.
