Naked Apple Card

Call me crazy but this is what happens when I'm bored. Had the day off today and got our washer and dryer delivered. I installed them and it was 10am. Was going crazy as I'm not used to having the day off. Decided to do this. Still not done with it. Going to sand it a little better and thinking of heating it to get some nice coloring to the titanium. I'm thinking this might not be 100% titanium though. Seems a little too heavy to be 100%. Anyways card still works Smiley Wink

I'm getting there. Been sanding the last 3 hours. Left off at 400 grit. Just like 100 degrees here and needed a break.

Re: Naked Apple Card

What does a sticker do?

Is there a plastic version of this card?  That would be a lot more desirable.

I can't even imagine how many wallets wear out prematurely due to the hard edges of these metal cards.

Re: Naked Apple Card

@CV91915 because the apple card scratches so easy, there's a market for card covers to protect it. One of those options is stickers that cover the whole thing

Re: Naked Apple Card

For what share of transactions are people using Apple Pay vs. the physical card?

Looks fun, but how much abuse can the chip take via sanding? Is there some danger of damaging the point where the EMV reader makes contact? Or the idea is that you might as well have fun since you only use it on your phone?
