Re: Need suggestions for a GOOD vacuum!!!

I spent 500.00 on my Simplicity two years ago and love it!!  Its one of few nowadays that is still made of metal movable parts instead of the plastic!  I'm a firm believer that this makes a difference!

It is not a bagless as imho the bagless just let too much dirt and dust back in when you empty them.

As heavy as it may be, Kirby is king. It will out last the cockroaches in a nuclear fallout.

Kirby's are great, (my aunt and uncle still have theirs from the late 70's!) but the markup on them from a Kirby salesman is obscene. If you want one, get it on ebay or from a repair shop; unless you really want to spend well over a grand.

EDIT: In fact this goes for all vacuums sold door to door. Rainbow, Tri-Star etc.

Re: Need suggestions for a GOOD vacuum!!!

I'd say either an Oreck or a Dyson.

When I was back home last year I used my mom's Oreck
and it still runs good for 15yrs old. My DW wants that
new Dyson w/the rollerball
