Is the chip embeded in a little pit, or flush on the sides?

Just reordered new ones. I hope it isn't the old one. The raised numbers keep wearing off and it's really difficult to see for online purchases.

Send that designer over to BoA to redesign the PR card. I'm waiting for a better design and/or metal; heck, "Premium" is even in the name! I dislike the 4 rows (5 if you count the Visa logo) of various fonts, font sizes, and offsets that are jumbled across the front of the card. I bet that is the only reason they moved the numbers to the back because they couldn't fit it on the front.

Wow such a good look! Just got approved for it yesterday, should be here in a couple days and I HOPE its the new syle! Also would be an excellent touch if it is metal! 
It looks good, kind of like an airline card with that muted Blue. I kind of prefer the current design but this one has contactless so that's a win. Anyone who posts here and gets a new card: is it embossed? That'd be some real progress if it finally got rid of that.
