PSA: Business Platinum Amex, now in metal

Hello, myFICO'ers....the Business Platinum Card is now available to order in metal. I'm only getting it because it is so much more durable than th plastic, and my personal still looks new 5 months later, after swiping it each and every day, multiple times. Looks much better than my Ritz-Carlton, which gets disfifured after the first swipe! They've learned their lesson this time, offering it by first class mail only, unless your card was lost or stolen.

Why would you use swipe the Amex Personal Platinum everyay. The Bonus Categories are only for airfare and hotel order through their travel portal. I have the metal one but I can't see a situation where i will ever swipe it or give it someone to swipe with the points on all their other cards being better.

I think the real question is why are you still swiping it so frequently...

Most merchants have enabled chip and contactless, so either one will prevent the ugly marks from showing up.
