I guess I work 3rd shift too,  and 1st and 2nd.  48 hour shifts, and they start tearing you down after awhile.

I worked 12 hour shifts that turned into about 16 hours with the drive and shift changes that took forever. 

But, 48 hour shifts?  You aren't meant to stay awake that long.
