For those that follow these sorts of things, I tried to get my hands on a PS5 via preorder at Best Buy last week. It was a crapfest and needless to say I lost out.
Not a day later, I got an email from them that looked something like this:
I mean, daddy wants a new TV, too, but like really?
They usually shoot out some decent offers. I'm currently working on making 5 purchases of $20 or more and get a $50 gift card.
I have a BB credit card. Use it a lot
As a BB Elite Plus member I get 6% back in rewards when I select standard payment terms instead of 0% interest. The APR on standard terms is the worst of any card I have - by far. So, gotta PIF when selecting standard terms.
May I know exactly what you did to get the BB Pre-Approval? I like doing the Pre-Approvals... But didn't know BB offers one... Thanks.
@jl4 I have worked at best buy for 5 years part time and i have NEVER seen this so hopefully they will start having the pop ups at the register when we pull up there regular membership.

Spend two hours trying and failing to spend $440 on their website, I suppose. 😬 I'm tempted, but have mortgage action coming in like 6 months so I need to get ready for that

You are blessed to be able to PIF the big ticket items BB have.
It's a great card, especially if you like to shop there often. They are always running side promos on top of the 5% in rewards (6% for Elite plus members) that you get when you use the card and skip the 0% financing option. Right now they're giving 5% back in rewards on all Wholesale Clubs and 10% back on all drug store and pharmacy purchases through 12/31/20. Before that they were offering 5% back in rewards on all grocery store purchases. I've had my 2 Best Buy cards almost 13 years! They've really come in handy. It's also nice to have the option to do 0% financing for up to 24 months on large purchases. I definitely understand if you need to hold off until after applying for your mortgage. The card will still be there when you're ready!
First thing I go for to get the fatty slab of TV for the new home 😎
