Just for grins, I logged into CreditKarma.  My Vantage 3.0 scores are TU 827 and EQ 824.

Guess I have worse credit in Vantage's eyes... but I don't really care at this point.  I hit FICO8 850 x3 so, if that was on my bucket list, I can cross that off.

Now what.  I don't want or need more cards or credit, I don't want or need a CLI on anything.  I reached the summit, enjoyed the view... guess it's time to climb back down, as the air is a bit thin up here.

Concerning VantageScore, what is an optimal number of cards?

It is hard to pinpoint but somewhere in the 11-19 range. Stay above 10. I went from 11 cards (open+closed) to now 6 cards (open only) on file over the years. My max obtainable VS score has dropped 10-15 points during the process.

I'm not about to get 5-6 more cards just to make Vantage happy. 

Keeping track of 5 is hard enough.  And FICO 8 of 850 on all 3 bureaus is all I need, it's just to say I did it.

Next milestone will be diamond spade and zero inquiries across the board next month.  Then we'll see how long I stay there!!
